Our mission at Counseling In Canton is to share the hope found in Christ Jesus and demonstrate the sufficiency of scripture in all situations by teaching, equipping, comforting and exhorting.
I train people on how to fight spiritual battles. Jesus won the war. We train to win the battles.
My passion is seeing people set free from fear, anxiety, unforgiveness, self-hatred, and rejection by applying Biblical principles to their lives. I love to work with people and show them how they can ‘…recover themselves out of the snare of the devil…” (2 Timothy 2:26).
I am an Ordained Minister of the Gospel and a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor, licensed by the National Christian Counselors Association, License #19354. I have a Ph.D. in Pastoral Counseling from Ministry Institute International in Powell, TN and am a Board Certified Clinical Supervisor with the National Christian Counselors Association with certifications in Cognitive Therapy & Ethics. I am also a Licensed Temperament Therapist
In addition, I have a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Texas A&M, an M.S. in Kinesiology from TCU, and an M.B.A with an emphasis in management from TWU. I completed 4 years of study in Oriental Medicine receiving a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine, including acupuncture and Chinese herbology. I was a licensed acupuncturist and Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. (Yes I LOVE school!)
I believe that all individuals are created in the image of God and can only feel complete and fulfilled through a relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. My main goal is to enable clients to move toward greater emotional and spiritual health by becoming more like Jesus Christ.
I believe counseling should involve praying about the client’s difficulties and looking to the authority of the Bible for guidance, thus building a dependency on God for the client. There is forgiveness for our past, and strength for the present and hope for our future when we trust the Lord to meet our daily needs, and heal our emotional wounds.
I desire to reflect the character of our Lord to love and care for my clients as He would. I will not force religion, but it is the foundation of which I counsel.
A few of my specialties are:
- Temperament Therapy

- Spiritual root of disease and addictions
